5 days in Hawaii

and no Justin...when arrived in Hawaii only to find out that there were no flights to Guam until the day that the ship left....THAT SUCKED!! So, we spent the next 4 days trying to catch a flight back home....got bumped, missed some...just wasn't "fun" at all. Then Wednesday became the day that we actually ENJOYED the fact that we were IN Hawaii. I honestly dont' think that I have ever seen the sky so blue in my entire life!! It was amazing! Took a trip to the Dole Plantation and had some yummy fresh pineapple and pineapple ice cream! (YUM!) Visted with Karen and her beautiful boys...made me realize how much I miss them! It was so great to see them! Caught a flight back on Thursday and I am still trying to recover from the jet-lag...I really didn't think it would effect me but DANG!! All I had was my point and shoot camera, so nothing too fancy, but enjoy the photos!

Happy 4th!!

We spent our day at the Freedom Festival! The kids had a blast!! I didn't see much of them during the day. Our ship's FRG (family readiness group) had a booth set up to sell drinks and baked goods and raise money for the homecoming celebration, and right behind us was the carnival rides and Kid's Fun Zone! They spent the whole day in there and had a BLAST!!

I was ON TV!!

Many of you know that I am the Vice President of an organization that is 100% everything that I believe in. It's Operation: Love Reunited or "OpLove"....well, a fellow photographer here in San Diego, has put together (VERY LAST MINUTE) a day of shoots for military families whose loved one is deployed...we went on TV this morning to talk about it!! ACK!!!

Spare a prayer.....

These kids are passing something back and forth to each other, and I just KNOW I am next!! It's been since last Wednesday night when Chandler started it, and then he was over it, Falyn got it, today she is over it, but BOTH Faith and Chandler have it!! Whatever "IT" is is making them feel miserable. Faith has thrown up a few times today...oy! So, if you get a chance, say a little prayer that they get better soon and MOMMY doesn't get it!! I have been bleaching and washing for almost a week straight!! AHH!!!

We had an FRG gathering today, a project for the ship, and rather than snapping away the WHOLE time, I handed my camera over to Jeanette to get a shot of Chandler and me...even tho he wasn't into it...I LOVE it!! :)

Memorial Day

He swims!! He was NOT afraid of the pool at all this year, and I am so proud!! He can REALLY stop growing up so fast tho. Breaks my heart that my baby's not a baby anymore. :( And yes, the girls were there too, but I was so SHOCKED at his "no fear" that I only got pics of him! LOL

Summer Fun!

Kick it off with a "splash" right? It was HOT HOT HOT the week before Justin left, and then got all kinds of COLD again yesterday. Well, it warmed up again today, to the satisfaction of the girls, we bought this slip-n-slide and do we ever have THE perfect backyard for it!! We have a little slope and that makes for an easy "slide"!!

Also, chopped off about 7" of my hair today!! YAY!! (Falyn is still in training! LOL)

Today sucks...

just really really really sucks. He was only home for about 3 months...and now he's gone for another 6. Say a prayer for the crew and the families...mine too...this sucks.

Now THAT'S a beautiful family!

I am printing these nice a big and hanging them in my dining room. Can't wait!

Kid's Say the Darndest...right?

Faith...that little crack up. She comes up with some of the funniest things...well yesterday she got onto her daddy good!!

We were leaving the house, and Justin grabbed a can of Coke to take with him, and in all seriousness, she turned and looked at him and said... "Daddy, you can't drink and drive. It's against the rules."

OMG!!! LOL I was laughing so hard!! Crazy girl!!

On a sucky note....Justin checked onto the ship today...he leaves May 19th for 6 months. Ugh!

A CHILLY afternoon at Cabrillo National Park. Faith was passed out cold in the car, so we didn't hang out long. Falyn was cold and forgot her sweater, but we managed to enjoy the view and sights.
