Happy "Birthday Party Day" Girls!!

In usual summer fashion...the girls had their joint party Thursday! What a blast!! For those of you that remember....we did something similar two years ago in Pensacola. It was such a hit and SO easy, and that's what I needed again this time....EASY!! I just don't have it in me to fully entertain children right now. For the first time in EIGHT years, I did not make a cake and am still feeling guilty about it...but again...just didn't have the energy or more than anything...time. Two of their best friends couldn't make it b/c they are in Texas, but they had a blast non the less. Oma and Opa flew in on Monday and we are having so much fun being with them! I really needed some family right now too! For all you summer b-day people....I HIGHLY recommend a water slide party!! ;)

The Big 3-0...yea, yea....

"yay" I'm over it. Didn't even really feel like my birthday today, we had SUCH a busy day!! Justin ran in our church sponsored 5K Mud Run....and yes, that means THRU the mud!! Here's a good break down of the course: http://www.sandiegomudrun.com/map.html Justin called "Zone 4" the BEAST! Basically, that part was ALL uphill! No Thank You!! He did GREAT tho! I was/am SUPER proud of him!! He finished in 36:55!! Kick butt!! I would have been WAY longer than that!! LOL Since I knew he was going to be running, I signed up to be a volunteer, so the morning started off at 8am passing out shirts to all the 3500+ runners...about 95% of the way thru that, I was pulled away to be the starting line "organizer"....yea, you try hurdling 3500 runners, and make them listen to your instruction! HA!! Then we corralled them into the finish line shoots at the end. It was overall a really fun, but WAY hot day!! The temp gage on my truck said the outside temp was 103, when we were leaving about 3pm. Oy!! We came home, showered, rested a bit and then went to dinner at Forever Fondue. YUM!!
