First Day of School

The alarm clock went off at 7am, but Falyn was already up and rearing to go! I didn't even get to do our "first day of school! first day of school!" (think Nemo!) Faith was a little slower to rise, but I got her up with little resistance (I think this may kill my late sleeper, this 7am waking up!)

Waffles and milk for breakfast.
Clothes had been picked out and hung out, ready to be put on. Falyn in a little silver mini dress with black tights and black flats and Faith in a cute heart tie back shirt, jeans and Airwalk tenni's (forever the tomboy!).

All is going well at this point. They load up in the car and we drive over (too close to ride the bus). There is no where to park (duh mom!) and so we park a few streets away and walk. I figure that dropping Faith off first would probably be best. Yea...well...that was SO sad!! She cried, Chandler cried....I had to fight the tears!! It was traumatic for all of us. But I think she will be ok. She did this to me in preschool too...and did it for a while in Sunday School as well. She just likes to be with her mommy!! :)

Falyn marched off like a champ to Mr. J's 3rd grade class and I am positive that girl will have a GREAT day!

My beautiful school girls!!

UPDATE: They had a GREAT day and couldn't stop talking the whole walk home....yak yak yak! It was awesome! I tried something a little different this morning (drastic)....I dropped them off at the crosswalk, and let them go on their way to class. Faith wasn't thrilled about that idea, but I bet that she went to class much much easier than if I was standing there. She "whined" but I don't think the tears really came. Today is their half-day, so they will be home in a few hours, and I can see how it went and if that worked better.

They look so stylish! I love how cute each of them dresses, so cute, but how different each of their styles are. I see your girls are still into Hannah Montana and High School Musical, my girl moves in and out of things like crazy now, lol. She doesn't like either of those things now and used to be crazy about them (silly girl!). Now it's all about Bella Sara cards, lol, ever heard of them? I know though in six months or less though it will be something else though, lol, I just can't keep up with this girl! You're lucky your girls stay devoted to their likes, lol! We sure don't invest a lot of money in any her fads anymore, that's for sure, we would go broke!

I hope Faith loves her Kindy class and comes home with lots of fun stories, and that Faith enjoys her third grade class too! GOOD LUCK this school year girls!

Love,
Heidi and Solana

Oh my goodness! How are they that big, Gina? I know mine are, too, but it really hits me when I see your girls in photos, reaching milestones it doesn't seem they should be old enough to reach. I can't begin to tell you how much I miss you. Why can't we just be back in Cali together? I wish they had they same teachers and could do homework together after school. I'm praying Homeland Security sends us there!!!!

Love you bunches
Kiss my godson for me! I miss that little man, too:(
